Update 7/27/08 Riley has been found and returned to Chris. He was picked up by a family who knew he was lost, and saw the flyers at the Dog Beach. Thanks to everyone who was keeping an eye out for him! Email from beach goer Chris Tavolacci:

My 2 year old male Wheaten Terrier escaped around the opening at the fence-water line at the south end of the fenced area. He was seen being taken from the soccer field/park area at Simmonds and Lawrence/ Wilson along the beach on Saturday July 5th around 8pm by 2 young Hispanic men. These men are reported to frequent the beach/park area and I'm hoping they'll return with Riley at some point. Could you please post an alert somehow for me so that your subscribers could keep an eye open for him? Streets and Sanitation wants me to remove my flyers from the park soon, so I need to get word out ASAP. If he is located, call 911 and report that you've located a stolen dog. I'm offering a reward for his return. Riley's info: male, neutered, 2 1/2 years old, 32 pounds, AVID chip, red collar with tags, food allergies, very friendly, loves people!
