Beach User Survey 2011 results

The Survey results are finally tabulated. Thanks to everyone who participated. We had a total of 290 respondents, just under our goal of 300 which we estimate is 20-25% of Dog Beach traffic on an average day. We had a pretty even cross section of beach uses from daily regulars to occasional users. Since this was a voluntary survey, it's not a scientific cross section, but hopefully designed to be fair and balanced, not over-weighing on any single issue . There were about 500 comments and suggestions which really help to give insight into the raw numbers. There's too many comments to respond to them all, so we're trying to post and respond to common themes and interesting ideas.

When reviewing the comments as a whole it's apparent there is a general misconception of how the Dog Beach works so we'd like to recommend starting off with a refresher course, or DFA 101.
