We Need to Pay For Our Fence!

In 2005 Cook County established new requirements for all Chicago Dog Parks and Beaches. To order to comply with these regulations, the Dog Beach had to be fenced in. We already had the south fence on the beach, but we needed a fence along the rock wall.

In order to keep the Dog Beach open, Mondog agreed to raise money to pay for the fence. When improvements like the fence are made, half the money comes from the Park District and half comes from the public contributions. That's the way Dog Parks work.

The Dog Beach is now in compliance, and we’ve got a new ADA compliant ramp in the boat launch and an outstanding bill to the Park District for $13,500. We’ve raised almost half of that, and we’re making it our goal to raise the rest of it this summer.

DONATE TODAY!

If only 200 people each donated $25 or $50, we could pay our bill. If you’re one of the hundreds of beach users that considers it an indispensable resource, please show your support by making a generous donation to MonDog today.

You can donate online using PayPal, through the mail using a membership form, or in person at our monthly beach clean-ups.
