If you are headed to Montrose beach during the time frame of 5:30 am 10:15am on Sunday morning, May 26, and Lake Shore Drive(LSD) is the way you take, you'll have to find another route. You can enter the park via the LSD underpasses @ either Montrose,Wilson,Lawrence, or Foster.

Human Race near Montrose Harbor on May 5th
A special event is taking place at Montrose Harbor on Sunday, May 5th at 9:30 AM. They will have road closures and will effect the access to the dog beach. They will be closing any access east of Simonds Dr. beginning at 6:00 AM. However, they will be allowing access to the dog beach up until the race starts.
